Reduce “training” time to precisely what the learner actually needs. Don’t dictate how the trainee learns – it’s a losing proposition anyway. Provide support for the way it actually happens – on the job – and use the assessment to make 100% sure that standards are being followed.
Empower the Learner
Give motivated learners the ability to excel, determine their own curriculums and goals; reward for going the extra mile: use assessment and validation to enforce minimum standards on all trainees, but don’t force them to do more than they signed up for. Abandon the one-size-fits-all approach..it wastes time and discourages star performers.
