Deckspert gives you the ability to export all of the content in a module as an xml file. This xml file can then be given to a translation resource or vendor to translate all of the text content to the desired language.
Once the translated xml is ready, you can import it back into your Deckspert account, and presto, you now have a fully translated module. You can preview the module and make any further edits to the translated text if needed.
Here’s how it works:
- Click the (menu icon) in the upper right corner of the Module and select “Export XML”.
- The xml file will immediately download to your computer’s default download folder (Note: In most browsers the file will be shown at the bottom of your browser window. Right click on it and choose “Open File Location” to quickly locate the file.)
- Rename the exported xml as desired.
- Send the xml for translation.
- Once you have the translated xml, while in the tool, select “Add New Module”.
- Click the (up arrow icon) and select “Import XML”.
- A message will appear indicating your xml has been imported.
- You will still be in the Add module window.
- Enter the translated name for the module (if you don’t know the translated name, you can temporarily name it whatever you want).
- Select the corresponding language code from the Language drop down.
- Click SAVE. (There is no need to pick an image for the module – the original module’s image will automatically fill in).
- You will now see the new translated module in your Modules view.
